One of our many services

Vocational Evaluations are an individualized, timely, and systematic process by which a person seeking employment, with an evaluator, learns to identify and develop employment goals.

Capabilities performs vocational assessments at a location that is convenient to the consumer. The location of the assessment can be at the individual’s home, a local facility, or at one of the Capabilities’ offices.

Capabilities’ Vocational Evaluators are qualified and tested in the field of Vocational Rehabilitation. They are practicing rehabilitation professionals who have a strong labor market knowledge.

Our Vocational Evaluators are committed to providing quality assessment services. As a first step in the employment process,Vocational Evaluation provides a measure of an individual’s occupation potential and helps establish concrete job goals to reach attainable career and life paths. Trained and experienced vocational evaluators gather information by administering a series of standardized tests.

The individualized testing procedures assess each consumer’s aptitudes, academic levels, and interests. Our vocational evaluators then undertake personalized labor market research combined with standardized occupational classification systems to help each consumer investigate possible employment options and steps to achieve them. Vocational Evaluation can determine the suitability of specific training programs and assist in connecting consumers to appropriate support programs. A comprehensive report with a breakdown of results, summary and recommendations is provided.

Could include interests, abilities, work values, learning styles, barriers to employment, work attitudes, temperaments, self-esteem, depression levels, job search attitudes, functional capacity areas of deficit, and transferable skills and provides appropriate goals and recommendations.
